Heidi Glynias has been a respected dance educator for over 35 years, working across many facets of dance and entertainment. She is the founder of The Dance Centre in Rocky River, where she taught for 36 years and earned recognition for training versatile dancers, including three “Dance Educator of the Year” awards. Her studio was named one of the top 50 in North America by Dance Spirit Magazine.
Heidi served as a master class teacher and adjunct professor at Baldwin Wallace University for 10 years, where she developed the university’s first hip hop program and taught tap, jazz, and movement for actors. She has taught master classes and guest choreographed for programs including Stage Door Dance in Raleigh, Dance Masters of Pennsylvania, Playhouse Square, and various school and theatre programs.
A former dancer, captain, and coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Team, Heidi helped transition the group from cheer style to professional dance. She has choreographed for show choirs and musical theatre programs across several states and currently adjudicates the Dazzle Awards at Playhouse Square.
Now directing the Tap Artistry Project and offering private instruction, Heidi continues to find joy in helping students pursue careers on Broadway, national tours, cruise lines, and NBA dance teams.
